Living on the rail

The community we just moved to is 20 minutes away from downtown Louisville but feels like small town in the middle or nowhere. One of the things I like about it is the trains. Everything is so close to the tracks but instead of feeling ghetto there is a charming feel to it all. Downtown LaGrange (the community I live in) is so cute. Shops line the street but I can't get use to the fact that the train goes right down Main Street.

Snow days and cinnamon rolls

These days I love a good snow day. A nice slow start to the morning. No homework. Activities are cancelled. Love it!!
We just had one such day and really made the most of it. We invited the moms and kids in our ward over for sledding, hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls. What a perfect day.

New Year's Eve

The Thompson family came up to visit for New Year's Eve.

Buckner, Ky

We moved into our new home in Buckner, ky. Small town next to Louisville. One the first night it snowed. It was so beautiful.
One of my favorite things is that the bus picks up and drops off right at my door. Heaven.

Moving day

After 5 1/2 wonderful years in Lexington we are moving to Louisville. Close but we leave with heavy hearts. Love love love Lexington. Great little city with even better friends. At least we're only moving an hour and a half away.

These are my dear friends the Toulassi's family. They are from Togo Africa. I adore them. Kossiwa ( the mom) doesn't really speak English but she and I figured it out and will forever be dear friends.

Sorting candy after another long night trick or treating.
